Kaarlé had been a well respected scout in the Karrnath army, often being responsible for providing valuable information on enemy troops. He enjoyed the freedom; travelling alone as much as with a small group. Although he dedicated many years to the army Kaarlé was only directly involved in a couple of full scale battles; experiences he learnt from but certainly did not cherish.
Trained with the use of the longbow Kaarlé excelled at taking down enemies from afar. He demonstrated reliably accurate shooting over much greater distances than his comrades. His training also involved skirmishing and ambush tactics, which, coupled with his archery skill often allowed Kaarlé to ‘neutralise’ many enemy patrols single handedly before they could properly locate him.
In response to the wide spread disease and famine that had crippled the nation the Karrnath military had implemented an extensive healing training program. Kaarlé found himself involved in this program, having to visit the House of Jorasco in Vedykar. Although he was initially sceptical Kaarlé thoroughly enjoyed the basic alchemical training he received, and when the war ended he decided he would take it further.
Kaarlé however, found he was far from comfortable with the city life of a civilian so he quickly returned to the army, but here too, during peace time, without active service as a scout the military life became too oppressive.
Having fought people from the nations to the South and West Kaarlé decided to travel East, before eventually winding up in Q’Barra. Finding this thriving landscape suited to his needs he settled in the small village of Ghostwater in the hope of practicing his alchemy…
